This policy covers the Chaire website and iPhone app, operated by Kaung Zin Hein in Canada. Chaire is a rehearsal tool: use fictional names and leave out confidential workplace, customer, health, legal and financial details.
Website and launch list
If you request a launch announcement, we send your email address, platform choice and consent to Brevo for a confirmation email. You join the list only after confirming; each launch email has an unsubscribe link. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the form for abuse and receives the verification token and your IP address. We do not send your email or form contents to analytics.
Optional website PostHog analytics load only after your choice to allow them, and not when your browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. They record a small set of named page and button events and allow-listed campaign/placement values. Autocapture, session replay, profiles and form capture are off. You can clear or change the website choice in your browser's site storage.
Practice on your iPhone
Unfinished preparation and saved custom-practice notes stay in the app's local storage until you delete them in Settings or remove the app. When Story sync is unavailable, confirmed Story progress stays on the device too.
The labeled scripted Story demonstration asks for microphone and speech permission only when you choose to speak. It requires on-device speech recognition and uses iOS speech synthesis for authored replies. It does not send demonstration audio to Chaire's Worker or an AI provider, and Chaire does not keep an audio recording of that demonstration. Typing remains available.
If connected voice is enabled in your build and you choose it, OpenAI processes your microphone audio and the synthetic counterpart's audio to run the conversation. Chaire's service holds partial transcript text briefly and expires it after a session closes; that does not control OpenAI's own retention. A recording-backed finalization or coaching feature must be separately enabled and explained in the in-app consent before use. When enabled, OpenRouter may receive the just-finished transcript to prepare coaching. Chaire does not send your practice words to website analytics, RevenueCat or OneSignal.
Accounts, membership and reminders
Supabase provides an app account identifier. You can sign in with Apple or email. For email sign-up and recovery, Supabase processes your email address, password credential and one-time verification code; Chaire does not put passwords or codes in analytics. Chaire's transactional email is delivered through Brevo. Apple may supply a real or relay email to Supabase when you use Apple sign-in. If Story sync is enabled, Supabase stores the agreements and readiness you confirm, with the identifiers needed to restore progress—not raw audio or the full transcript through that sync path.
Apple handles App Store payments. RevenueCat receives an app account identifier and purchase/entitlement status to check membership; it does not receive your practice words. Deleting a Chaire account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
If reminders are enabled and you consent, OneSignal receives the app account identifier, push-subscription/device details and limited categories such as reminder permission, free/member status and practice-count ranges. Scheduling can send a reminder identifier, date and timezone. It does not receive names, notes or transcript text in Chaire's reminder payloads. You can turn reminders off in Settings and change notification permission in iOS Settings.
Optional app analytics and errors
App analytics are off until you opt in under Settings. If enabled, PostHog receives fixed fictional Story events, broad practice-service error categories and crash reports. A crash report can contain a technical stack trace and app/device context. Custom events exclude your account ID, practice words, transcript, notes and session IDs, but PostHog uses a random app identifier. Chaire's EU PostHog project is configured to anonymize IP addresses. If configured, Layers receives fixed app-open and Story events under the same consent. Turning the choice off stops new app analytics events. Session replay, screen/tap capture and advertising tracking are off.
Your choices and deletion
You can type instead of using a microphone, decline optional analytics and reminders, and delete locally stored preparation and notes in Settings. Where connected services are enabled, Settings also offers synced Story deletion and account deletion. Account deletion clears the app account and local practice data; it does not cancel a subscription. You can manage that separately through Apple subscriptions.
To request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about provider retention, email privacy@chaire.app. Providers may process data outside Canada under their own policies. We will update this page before enabling a new processing path that changes these disclosures.
